Virtual Zoom Classes – how to do it! 

  • Sign up for class via mindbody per usual
  • Once you sign up, you will receive an email from Mindbody confirming your registration for the class and the link/meeting ID for the virtual call. 
    1. We are using the virtual platform Zoom. 
    2. Please download this free app and set up your free account. 
  • If you do not receive a link, please email the studio at namaste@270poweryoga.com or call/text the studio cell phone at 270-313-6051
  • To join class: 
    1. Click on the link in the email – it should direct you automatically to zoom and to the meeting. 
    2. If not, copy the Meeting ID from email, open Zoom app and paste it into the Join Meeting space.
  • You are automatically muted when you join class.  You can unmute yourself by clicking on the microphone in the bottom left hand corner.  If there is a background noise once practice starts, please mute yourself. Everyone can hear it! 
  • The instructor can see you and the community can see each other!  
    1. In the top right hand corner you can toggle between different viewing options.  Try it out and see which one you like best! 
  • At the end of the class, you can click on “leave meeting”. 

TIPS/RECOMMENDATIONS: 

  • Set your device up approximately 6 feet in front of your mat.  Instructor may request you to adjust your device so she can see your entire body for giving real-time cues. 
  • Set up your yoga block, strap, towel as you would for in- studio classes.  We can arrange to loan you a block if needed. You can also use a book at home.  For a strap, you can use an old belt, tie or karate belt. Get creative, you’ll be amazed at what can be used for yoga props!!!! 
  • Mute your sound if there is background noise.
